Tim Donaghy - Dirty Ref
Tim Donaghy, the NBA referee under investigation by the FBI for influencing the point spread of basketball games he officiated, is the same referee that engaged in a post-game shouting match with Rasheed Wallace a few years back. That incident led to a 7-game suspension for Sheed, and another black eye for the Portland franchise. As I recall, Sheed claimed Donaghy instigated the argument. Maybe we should have listened to him.

Just when I thought I was completely removed from defending Rasheed news of the crooked ref comes up. I spent the late 1990s and early 2000s thinking Stern and the refs were out to get the Blazers. My friends discounted my theories and I thought rightfully so. The worst part of this whole thing is that we (Blazers fans) are back to trying to defend Rasheed. Given the terrible officiating though, who could blame us?
On another note. Great website, a mutual friend who attended the Vegas Summer League with you guys referred me to this site. Let's just say his command of the English language is exceptional. This will serve as my Blazers blog now that there is reason to regularly frequent one.
